How do you determine the name of the amino acid that each codon codes for?

The first base of the codon is in the center, the second base is in the middle ring, and the third base is in the outer ring. So, for UUU, find U in the center, follow to U in the middle, then follow to U in the outer ring; you get phenylalanine.
