What happens to your colored, cotton t shirt if you put it in the dryer on hot.?

I ordered shirts from CCS.com and like four of them are too big. I don't want to return them so im trying to shrink them without changing or fading the color of them. One is orange, and the other ones are white, they all have pictures on the front and, are all cotton.
